Cal Poly at the NASCAR Auto Club 500

Last weekend was a great week for the Cal Poly Supermileage team. Being last years Shell Eco-marathon Americas winner, Shell invited the team to the NASCAR Auto Club 500 race at the California Speedway in Fontana, CA. Friday was spent doing a press conference and photo shoot with the 2007 Daytona 500 winner, Shell sponsored, No. 29, Kevin Harvick. Shell was also kind enough to invite us to the actual Spring Cup race on Sunday. We received a tour of the garages, track and the pits before the race and we got to see the race from fully catered box seats. The race was delayed due to rain, however, but we still had a blast.
