KSBY Channel 6 had a news brief on Thursday 4/17 on Cal Poly's second-place finish in the EcoMarathon Americas. The voice over of the segment was over stock footage of last year however.

2008 Shell Eco-Marathon Americas Results

It was another great competition this year at the 2008 Shell Eco-Marathon Americas. Cal Poly could not hold onto the top spot this year, but they did get second! Congratulations Mater Dei for taking first place with 2843.4 mpg. That's absolutely amazing. Cal Poly took second with 2752.3 mpg which is about 800 mpg better than last year. Hopefully next year teams will be breaking the 3k mpg mark! Congratulations to all teams that participated in this year's event.
